Disconnect A Device

How to disconnect a device from a Biamp Workplace Organization. This makes the device available for connection and assignment in another organization.

 

 

In the Biamp Workplace Web Portal

1. In the web portal, open the Workplace organization's console, and then select the "Devices" tab.

 

2. On the "Devices" page, tap or double-click on the device's row to open its page.

 

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the device's page.

 

4. Select the red "Unregister device" button.

• This will remove the device from the Workplace organization, freeing it for assignment to another.

 

In the Workplace Tools desktop app

Subnet reminder: The device running the Tools app must be on the same subnet as the device that will be disconnected.

 

Disconnect child devices 1st! Disconnect or reassign any child devices from bridges or UCC devices to new parent devices. These will show as missing for the parent devices and must be manually removed.

 

1. Log into the app and select the organization, if you have not already done so.

 

2. Select the "Connect" tab in the left-side navigation panel.

 

3. Find the device and check its checkbox to open the "Assign Devices" panel on the right side of the page.

 

4. On the Assign Devices panel, toggle the "Cloud Connect" toggle to off.

 

5. Select the "Disconnect" button.

• This will remove the device from the Workplace organization, freeing it for assignment to another.
