Assigning AV Devices to a Bridge

This topic covers how to assign a supported Biamp audiovisual device to a Biamp Bridge internet gateway device using the Biamp Workplace Tools app.

 

Note: Workplace devices cannot currently be assigned to a Bridge using an organization's Web Portal console.

 

 

Requirements

1. Both the Workplace Bridge device and the audiovisual devices must already be connected to the same organization.
2. Any supported audiovisual device in an organization may be assigned to a Workplace Bridge in that organization as long as there is a network route between them.
3. Both the audiovisual devices and the Bridge must be assigned to Workplace organization locations with active licenses to be assigned in a parent - child relationship. However, they do not need to be assigned to the same location in the organization.
4. The Biamp Workplace Tools desktop app is required to assign connected devices to a Bridge.

Assigning AV devices in Workplace Tools

 

1. Select the "Connect" tab in the Biamp Workplace Tools desktop app's navigation pane, and then select the "Connected devices" tab.

 

2. Check the selection box of the Biamp audiovisual device that you wish to assign to a Biamp Workplace Bridge.

 

3. In the Assign panel that opens on the right side of the page, select a Bridge, then select the "Assign" button.

 

The AV device should now be located under the Bridge on the Connected devices page and joined with a line. It should also display a green "Bridged" tag.
