Major Functions Overview
Major functions of the Biamp Workplace system.
Device management and monitoring functions
Unless noted otherwise, these functions apply to both audiovisual and space booking device types.
Remotely monitor devices assigned and connected to an organization.

The type, model, and serial number of each device

The location of the device

Status of the device (online, missing, etc.)

Firmware status (Up to date, No latest version, Beta preview, etc.)

Any incidents presently detected
Remotely manage devices assigned and connected to an organization.

This includes individual and batch management.

Management functions for supported Audiovisual devices include:

Reboot a device or devices

Have a device visually indicate its location

Update firmware to a specified version

Export device logs

Unregister the device from the organization

Schedule automated administrative events for AV devices.

Most of these events can be set to be recurring for audiovisual devices.
Management functions for booking devices (booking system devices).
- Includes changing devices' locations and updating to the most recent firmware version.
Discover and assign devices to organization locations.
- Requires being on-site where the devices are located.

Discovering and assigning Evoko booking system devices requires the Biamp Workplace Booking mobile app. The app is available for Android and iOS.

Discovering and assigning Biamp workplace-supported audiovisual system devices requires the Biamp Workplace Connect desktop application (available for Windows and macOS).

Assign AV devices to Biamp internet bridges for secure internet connections.
- Audiovisual devices can be assigned to a Biamp Workplace Bridge using the Workplace Connect desktop app.

Control enabled devices using Workplace Command
Remotely view and control command block elements in supported devices assigned to an organization in the Workplace Command web app. Commands include the following.
Tesira Command-enabled devices

Change the audio input/output levels and toggle the mute function.

View the current state of various meters.

Change the source, preset or command string selection.
Qt X controllers
- Choose or change a zone's audiovisual source
- Mute a zone
- Modify background music, paging, or ducking output levels

Configure, monitor, and manage booking systems
In addition to the previously listed universal functions for all device types, Biamp Workplace provides the following booking system functions:

Remotely configure room, desk, and parking space time-booking parameters.

Remotely manage Evoko room, desk, and parking space bookings in an organization.

View usage analytics for booking assets.
-
Enable and configure digital ID requirements for users to access and use space booking functions.
-
This includes PIN code options, as well as enabling RFID requirements for specified booking actions.

Create NFC cards for enabled RFID requirements.
-
Configure meeting and other booking parameters.
-
Change the display and interface controls for Naso booking panels.

Turn on a Kleeo's smart presence recognition to detect a person sitting down at a bookable desk.

Turn on the optional "Book Now" prompt if the desk is not already booked.

Enable the auto booking and dynamic extension functions while the desk is occupied.

Toggle the option to display a booking user's name at a desk in order to make it easier for colleagues to locate them.

Create and manage organizations and locations
- Create organizations in the Biamp Workplace administration portal.
- Create and set up nested locations within structured organizations.
- Create and set up single-level locations in flat organizations.
- Create site maps and guides for end-users.

Design meeting spaces with the Workplace Designer app
The Workplace Designer app is a web app in the Workplace web portal for designing and populating physical meeting spaces with audiovisual devices to maximize sound quality.

Create and populate floor plans with audiovisual devices, room dimensions, as well as furniture and other elements that will impact audio system quality.

View acoustic maps of the space.

Incorporate the app's smart suggestions for device choices, device placement, and system configuration.

Export the design.
-
Generate price quotes for the design's equipment set.
Manage licenses
Manage and assign licenses to locations within an organization.

Each Workplace location must have an active license assigned to it in order to manage and monitor connected devices.

Licenses purchased for your organization can be assigned to locations using the Biamp Workplace administration portal.
Purchasing licenses for an organization is done outside of Biamp Workplace.

Assign licenses to organizations as a distributor or reseller.
- Distributors, resellers, or purchasers who wish to purchase and assign licenses to customers' organizations must sign up for access on the Biamp Workplace License Manager portal.

Manage an organization's files
All files uploaded to or created for a Biamp Workplace organization can be searched, downloaded, or deleted on an organization's admin console page under the Files tab. File types include floorplan and logo image files, location designs, and engineering logs.
Design control user interfaces screens
The Biamp Workplace Control Designer web app allows administor users to design and create custom control interfaces through drag-and-drop UI design and node-based logic programming.
